Modest hotel in a domestic area just off all attractions and Hammam Susa. Perfectly clean room and a kitchenette area and a safe box inside. Delicious breakfasts with homemade bread and freshly made Orange juice, as example provided by the best staff. Peaceful location, steps away from Grande Mosque. Really nice overall experience.

The host, Toutou, were pretty good too make us feel welcome and taken care of. The guesthouse is situated in a peaceful neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. We enjoyed meeting other travelers and having the option for privacy when needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The warm shower and reliable internet were much appreciated. We also had the opportunity to try the delicious traditional Tunisian breakfast. The atmosphere in the courtyard at night was magical. Although it was a bit of a walk into town, taxis were readily available and affordable. we highly recommend Dar Hkaïem for its wonderful hospitality and authentic experience.

Toutou, the host, was absolutely amazing and made me feel at home from the very first moment. The positive vibes in this home away from home were incredible and I ended up staying much longer than planned. The traditional house is located in a safe and beautiful neighborhood, with easy and cheap public transportation to nearby attractions. There are plenty of options for dining and cafes around the area, but you also have the option to have breakfast or dinner in the house's well-equipped kitchen. The WiFi was excellent, perfect for remote work or any online needs. The personal touches, like cookies with my name and Toutou's recommendations for places to visit, made my stay truly memorable. I even got to experience a local hammam with his assistance. The guesthouse is clean, cozy, and warm, with spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Toutou's attention to detail and care for his guests are unmatched. I can't wait to come back!

The room at Dar Hkaiem was cozy and inviting, with a lovely terrace to enjoy the sunsets. As a guest with disabilities, I appreciated the accessible kitchen, complete with a fridge and stovetop. The shared bathroom came with a refreshing shower, making me feel rejuvenated after a long day of exploring.

Personally, I found the bidet in the shared bathroom unnecessary, but others might find it convenient.

The host is top-notch, super welcoming, and offers great sightseeing tips. the neighborhood is a real gem, giving you an authentic feel. the traditional Tunisian house is spick and span, with charming decor details. the garden area is a chill spot, great for unwinding in the sunshine.
